Install failed on macOS or Linux?
Retry with sudo, or check that you can reach gptproto.com.
PowerShell execution policy error on Windows?
Run: Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser, then retry the installer.
How do I uninstall?
Run claude uninstall. To clean up fully, also delete ~/.claude/settings.json.
Which operating systems are supported?
macOS 10.15+, Ubuntu 18.04+, Windows 10/11 native, and other common Linux distros including WSL.
How do I update?
Run claude update.
