For a team already juggling DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen, or other providers, a shared routing layer can be reasonable if it removes duplicated work and the fallback behavior is tested. GPTProto is one implementation of this approach.

GPTProto.
Creators and developers share the models and workflows they built with.

I've been testing GPTProto recently, and it's honestly made my creative workflow much simpler. Instead of paying for multiple subscriptions, I can access several leading AI models from one place.

I turned this single prompt into a cinematic fantasy video using GPTProto. "Continuous 15-second cinematic shot, 4K resolution, hyper-realistic dark fantasy photorealism…"

I challenged myself to create a cinematic AI cooking short in just 15 seconds. I used GPTProto to bring the entire workflow together, from image generation to video, all in one place.

Made with Seedance 2.0 + GPT Image 2 on GPTProto. A Pixar-style commercial with the perfect glow.
What worked for me was pointing the cloud connections at GPTProto so the frontend only sees one endpoint and I just change the model name to swap. I am not rebuilding a connection from scratch every time.
I route the calls through GPTProto so a fallback is a config switch instead of a weekend rewrite when a model disappears. It turns "my default model just got export controlled" from an incident into a config change.

I used to switch between different AI tools just to compare results. Now I just use GPTProto. GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Kimi, and more — all in one workspace.
I route the calls through GPTProto so the model id and latency land in one place regardless of which provider is behind it. The win is having the log schema consistent across providers.

I created this 15-second cinematic product video with GPTProto using Seedance 2.0, and I was really impressed by how smooth the workflow was.

GPTProto routes the character prompt and shot list to a top model on one API key: 20 minutes … voices it and burns in captions from the same key: 20 minutes.
Text, images, and voice are configured separately. You can keep OpenRouter for text and use GPTProto for visuals.
The call layer underneath the router is GPTProto, so swapping a model does not require provisioning a new provider integration. Changing models becomes cheap enough that the question stops being "should we change."
Lower model rates.
Extra credits when you top up.
Choose the models you need, check their current rates, and use one balance whenever you're ready.
Pay less on selected models
Many models are priced 10–30% below their direct list rates. Check the rate for the model you want to use before you make a call.
More credit in the same balance
Eligible top-ups add extra credits right away. Your paid and bonus credits are both used at the model rates shown on GPTProto.
Use your credits when you need them
There's no subscription or monthly reset. Unused credits stay in your balance for future model calls.
The models you know.
The prices you can check.
Use supported models from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, ByteDance and more with one GPTProto key. Open a model to compare its GPTProto rate with the provider’s published API price for the same usage, where available. See what you could save before you top up.

GPTProto models average 20% below official list prices, and bonus credits stack on top; OpenRouter sells at official prices but adds a 5.5% fee when you buy credits. Same models, same usage — just more output per dollar.

Video and agent workloads burn credits faster — the recommendation adjusts automatically as you switch scenario or usage level.
Before you add credits.
Here are the billing details most people want to know first.
01Do I need a subscription? Will my credits expire?
No subscription is required. Add credits when you need them and use them across supported models. Unused credits do not expire or reset each month.
02How do bonus credits work?
Eligible top-ups add extra credits to the same balance. For example, paying $100 currently adds $104, and paying $1,000 adds $1,060. You'll see the exact amount you'll receive before you pay. Bonus and paid credits are spent at the same displayed model rates.
03How are model calls charged?
Each model has its own rate and billing unit, such as tokens, images or video duration. We deduct the charge for a completed, billable request from your credit balance. Check the model page for its current rate and supported settings.
04What happens if a request fails?
If a failed request was charged, the charge is returned to your credit balance according to its billing status. Check your usage history; if you still see a charge, send support the request ID so we can investigate.
05What if I paid or was charged twice?
Contact support with the payment or request IDs and the amount. We'll check the records and correct any confirmed duplicate charge or payment.
06Can I get a refund for unused credits?
Top-ups are generally non-refundable, and credits already used for completed requests are not refundable. We review duplicate payments and other exceptional cases individually. If a refund is approved, we return the eligible amount to the original payment method where supported; any processing fee the payment provider does not return may be deducted. Contact support with your account email and transaction details.
07Which payment methods can I use?
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. They may include cards and USDT, depending on your location and the selected payment route. Review the amount to pay and the credits you'll receive before continuing.
08What happens when my balance runs low?
You can add credits whenever you need them. If you enable low-balance notifications or automatic top-ups in your account, those settings can help you avoid interruptions. An individual request can still fail, so production workflows should handle errors and retries.
