What You Can Create with the AI Song Generator

Turn a short brief or a finished lyric into songs for gifts, videos, brand cues, and songwriting demos.

  • Turn a Sentence into a Song

Name the genre, mood, and instruments. The AI writes the lyrics, melody, and arrangement for you.

  • Sing the Lyrics You Already Wrote

Paste lyrics with [Verse], [Chorus], and [Bridge] tags, set the style, and hear how your words sound as a song.

  • Make Instrumental Background Music

Switch off the vocal to create background music for videos, podcasts, ads, and presentations.

  • Compare Two Songs Every Time

Every generation returns two different songs from the same brief, so you can pick the stronger one.

What it is

What Is an AI Song Generator?

An AI song generator creates a complete song from a written description or from lyrics you provide. It returns finished audio with vocals, melody, arrangement, and mix, rather than a loop you still need to build into a track.

On GPTProto, the generator runs Suno's Chirp v6 music model. In Simple mode you describe the song in a sentence and the model writes the lyrics and the music. In Custom mode you control the title, the lyrics, the styles, and the styles to avoid.

Every run returns two different songs from the same request. Each one comes with its own title, cover art, and lyrics, so you can listen to both and keep the better take.

Better results

How to Get Better AI Songs

A specific brief gives the model a clearer target than a vague one.

  • Name the genre and the mood: “Warm indie pop about late summer, acoustic guitar and soft drums” is easier to follow than “a nice song”.

  • Describe sounds, not artists: Prompts that name a real recording artist are rejected. Describe the genre, tempo, instruments, and vocal tone instead.

  • Mark the song sections: In Custom mode, tags such as [Verse], [Chorus], and [Bridge] show where each part of your lyrics belongs and which lines repeat.

  • Keep the style list short: A genre, a feel, and two or three instruments are usually enough. Use Exclude styles for sounds you do not want.

  • Choose the vocal on purpose: Pick a female or male lead when it matters to the song, or choose Instrumental for background music.

  • Compare both songs: The two results can differ in melody, structure, and length. Listen to both before deciding to change your brief.

Choose a mode

Simple Mode vs. Custom Mode

Both modes create complete songs. They differ in how much of the song you write yourself.

Dimension Simple Mode Custom Mode
What you provide One description of up to 500 characters A title, lyrics of up to 3,000 characters, styles, and styles to avoid
Who writes the lyrics The AI You, or a starter template you edit
Control over structure The AI decides verses and choruses You place [Verse], [Chorus], and [Bridge] tags
Best for Quick ideas, moods, and background music Finished lyrics, gifts with names, brand jingles, and songwriting demos

Start with Simple mode to explore a sound. Switch to Custom mode when the words matter.

Before you publish

Use AI-Generated Songs Responsibly

A generated song still carries rights and disclosure responsibilities.

  • Use lyrics you have the right to use: Write your own words or use lyrics you have permission to adapt. Do not paste protected lyrics from another song.

  • Do not imitate real artists: Describe a sound instead of asking for a specific singer or band.

  • Check the terms before commercial use: Review GPTProto's terms and the model provider's terms before releasing a song commercially.

  • Label synthetic vocals when appropriate: Do not present an AI vocal as a performance by a real person, and follow the disclosure rules of the platform where you publish.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an AI song generator?

An AI song generator creates a complete song, with vocals, melody, arrangement, and mix, from a written description or from lyrics you provide. GPTProto's generator runs Suno's Chirp v6 music model.

How do I make a song with AI?

Sign in, describe the song in Simple mode or paste your lyrics in Custom mode, choose the vocal, and click Generate. Two finished songs appear in your workspace when generation completes.

How many songs do I get per generation?

Every run returns two different songs from the same request. Each song has its own title, cover art, and lyrics, and the cost shown before you generate covers both.

How long does it take to generate a song?

Most requests finish in about one to two minutes. You can keep listening to other songs while the new ones are being created, and the progress bar shows how far along they are.

How long are the songs?

Length varies with the lyrics and style, from short jingles to full songs of a few minutes. The player shows the exact duration of each song.

What is the difference between Simple and Custom mode?

Simple mode takes one description and lets the AI write the lyrics and music. Custom mode lets you set the title, write the lyrics, choose styles, and list styles to avoid.

Can I create instrumental music without vocals?

Yes. Choose Instrumental in the vocal menu to create music without singing, which works well as background music for videos, podcasts, and presentations.

Can I write lyrics in languages other than English?

Yes. The vocal can follow lyrics written in many languages. Style descriptions such as genre and instruments usually work best in English.

Can I ask for a song in the style of a famous artist?

No. Prompts that name real recording artists are rejected. Describe the genre, tempo, instruments, and vocal tone you want instead.

Where are my songs saved?

Songs are saved to My songs in your GPTProto account, so you can play, download, or remove them later. You can also reuse the settings from any song to make a new version.

Is the AI song generator free?

GPTProto uses prepaid credits instead of a monthly subscription. Create an account, add credits, and check the cost shown next to the Generate button before you create a song.

Can I use AI-generated songs commercially?

Commercial use depends on GPTProto's terms and the model provider's terms. Review both before releasing a song, and make sure you have the rights to any lyrics you provide.
