Models

About Claude

Claude is Anthropic’s family of large language models for coding, agents, reasoning, professional writing, document work, and visual understanding. The family uses tier names such as Fable, Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku to distinguish capability, speed, and cost positions. Some GPTProto entries use a “Thinking” suffix for a distinct route variant rather than a separate Anthropic model family. This Claude models collection shows only the routes currently supported on GPTProto, including older versions when available. Use the live cards to compare Model IDs, route capabilities, lifecycle labels, and pricing; the catalog changes as GPTProto support changes.

Why Use Claude with GPTProto?

Compare supported Claude routes and manage them alongside other model providers through one GPTProto account.

One Key, Shared Balance

Use one GPTProto API key and prepaid balance across Claude and other supported model providers.

Compare Claude Routes

Review live pricing, lifecycle labels, and route capabilities before choosing among Claude tiers and versions.

Switch with Care

Move between compatible Claude routes by changing the Model ID, then recheck parameters and run your evaluations.

Automatic Route Fallback

GPTProto can use another available route when the current upstream route becomes unavailable.

Claude API FAQ

Which Claude models are available on GPTProto?

The live catalog above is the source of truth for Claude routes currently supported on GPTProto. It can include current and older versions, but it is not a complete list of every model Anthropic has released.

Which Claude model should I choose?

Choose by workload rather than model name alone. Start with the picker above: Opus for complex coding and agents, Fable for the hardest long-running work, Sonnet for balanced production applications, and Haiku for faster, cost-sensitive tasks. Validate the choice on your own evaluations before deployment.

Are Claude and Anthropic the same thing?

Anthropic is the company that develops Claude. Claude is the model family, while names such as Fable, Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku identify tiers within that family.

What does “Thinking” mean in a GPTProto Claude Model ID?

A Thinking suffix identifies a GPTProto route variant for a selected Claude base model; it is not a separate Anthropic model family. Check the route page for supported reasoning controls, parameters, and billing behavior.

Do I need a separate Anthropic API key?

No. To call a supported Claude route through GPTProto, use your GPTProto API key and balance. Follow the selected route’s GPTProto documentation rather than assuming every Claude request uses identical fields.

Can Claude models understand images?

Anthropic’s current Claude models support text and image input with text output. GPTProto support can differ by route, so confirm image or file input on the selected live model page before implementation. Claude models analyze images; they do not generate images.

How are Claude model versions handled?

Anthropic states that dated Model IDs are pinned snapshots. Dateless IDs from Claude 4.6 onward are also pinned snapshots rather than evergreen aliases. GPTProto’s own route-version behavior should be confirmed on the selected model page before production deployment.

How does GPTProto handle data sent to Claude routes?

GPTProto transmits API inputs to third-party model providers to complete requests and may retain input or output content briefly for transaction processing and error debugging. Technical usage metadata may also be logged. Data sent upstream is subject to the applicable provider’s policies.
